I love that Rose knows when to step back, let him be the old him. Flying the new TARDIS for the first time especially.

I agree with you he needs to grieve, like Rose did for TenI.

"They just wanted more sexy tiems... (behind the scenes of course, but it happened, oh yes it did, and with some minor arm twisting I *might* be convinced to write about it as a companion piece...)" Really? That would be amazing, you write so well. What would it take to persuade you?

Ah hem *drags mind from gutter*.

I can see all the loving looks and grins you write in my minds eye and they make me smile.

I'm looking forward to the next part.

I love that Rose knows when to step back, let him be the old him. Flying the new TARDIS for the first time especially. Yes! Exactly. She knows him so well and these kinds of things are important. She knows how much he missed the TARDIS and how important it is for him to be able to travel again, she's going to give him that moment.

I agree with you he needs to grieve, like Rose did for TenI. Precisely. He's been running from the Time War for years now, it was time for him to mourn and let go.

"They just wanted more sexy tiems... (behind the scenes of course, but it happened, oh yes it did, and with some minor arm twisting I *might* be convinced to write about it as a companion piece...)" Really? That would be amazing, you write so well. What would it take to persuade you? LOL Really! I'm working on a few things right now but if I get enough requests for such a fic I just might squeeze it in. And thank you for the amazing compliment about my writing. That means so very much to me. Thank you.

Awww thank you so much for your very, very kind words. I'm grinning from ear to ear. I'm delighted that you are still loving this fic. Really, you have no idea how happy it makes me or how much it means.

And guess what? You're in luck... I JUST posted Chapter 5 literally a few minutes ago... :) Perhaps this will make up for the sad...

Oh this is turning out to be a wonderful story. i liked how everything seems to be better and I was so hoping the same could be said for Gallifrey but sadly no. Poor Doctor with the timelord memories. I wonder if sometimes he'd like to just forget it all.

Whoops! Sorry I'm so late in responding to this!

I'm so so glad you're enjoying this. It was fun making things different in this universe. Unfortunately I didn't think it would be realistic to have Gallifrey be there, but I did think that the Doctor needed to greive properly, and he did, so I think in that way, it is still better in this universe.

I'm sure that there are days where he wishes he could wipe his mind. Just think of how he was in Human Nature. It would be so much easier if he didn't have to carry 900 years worth of sadness and horror in his brain. But if he didn't have that, he wouldn't be him.

Aww, *squishes the Doctor*

I'm intrigued by the idea that everything in this universe is just a little bit better...curious where that will lead...

I know! Poor, sad Doctor... :(

I'm glad you like the aspect of things being a little bit better in this universe. Things are by no means perfect, but I like to think of it as an alternative to the way things are in Ten's world.

Ten II's life is much less burdened than Ten's so it seems fitting to have the universe he's in be less burdened as well. Although honestly, it wasn't a conscious choice initially. It was after I'd written several scenes that my beta and I realized what I'd done and we decided I should weave that into the story! :)
