Wow, I don't get in here much, do I?  I guess I'm just posting this to keep my journal alive.  I just got done reading a bit of it, and it's amazing the things I've forgotten in only a few short years.  It doesn't seem that long ago, and yet it's as if it's been an epoch.

The more things change, the more they stay the same, I suppose.

Well, things are going disturbingly well. I'm wondering when the other shoe will drop. I have a new(er) truck (with A/C! Woot!), a good job that keeps my interest and pays well, an upcoming wedding with 30-year-old Scotch on the menu, and I'm shopping for a .22 can for the Walther P-22 that I won earlier this year at an IDPA match.

The University of Phoenix finally called back with something besides 'one more thing'. I am now gainfully employed, and most happily so. Now I can finally do things like go out to eat on a regular basis, get the A/C in the truck fixed, and other such niceties.

Well, talk about your long-term relationships, eh? It's been damn near a year since I last posted here. I've gotten laid off, hired, and laid off again in that time. Hopefully my next gig will be somewhat more long-term. I'm getting tired of contract work and temp jobs. Then again, I was tired of that shit on the day I started.
