Depression paralysis

I occasionally suffer depression-related paralysis. Let me explain: when I am extremely depressed (physiologically, not emotionally, necessarily), I have trouble getting up the energy -- getting up the will -- to do anything. Contributing to the gene pool is overrated. I hope you're feeling better by the time you read this (if you ever do) (I guess you just did). Give me a call if you're feeling bad, or if you just want to hear a joke about three under-funded scientists who need to find out how much an elephant poops in a year.

Feeling much better at the moment, as I will actually be making a contribution to the community and getting paid (5 cents a word, but it's something) for writing for the local paper. My first article, covering the high school band concert, and somehow manage not to point out that it would have been ten times better if they hadn't fired my dad.

We'll see about the gene pool thing. Rather irrelevant at the moment.
