The NY Times has a bit of new info concerning the Fox-WB lawsuit surrounding the WATCHMEN film - nothing to get concerned about though ;)

Red band? Any idea if this is really going to go for an 18 cert? I'd be surprised if it's not PG13/15 but pleasantly so!

Zack has stated a number of times that it's definitely getting an R rating due to Dr. Manhattan's big blue wang being on show, and Comedians 'way with the ladies' as it were, amongst other things. They've pulled no punches at all, thankfully :)

The Doc's blue meat wasn't seen in the trailer because they had to blur it out so the trailer could be all ages. They also had to put in a walkie talkie instead of a gun in a split-second scene of the trailer for the same reason.

The main reason WB wants the film to be less than 3 hours long is that they believe they've already limited the financial gains at the box office due to the R rating, without it being (in their opinion) overly long also.

You may be one of the very few people I know who are definitely pleased with this.

I think you should get a scan of the Doc's big blue wang and use it as an avatar :P
