[Lavi is standing in the heavy rain, hair plastered to his head as the PDA somehow manages to catch his entire form from its perch. It's sheltered somehow from the rain, left there so it wouldn't get damaged as he just stands there. His clothes are wet enough that no one would think he just walked out moments ago and the feed itself continues for a

[His brow furrows in confusion, then knits tight when Lavi starts walking away ― leaving his PDA behind.]
―Lavi? Lavi!
[He tackles the stairs at a run, glancing out the window on each floor to make sure he doesn't lose sight of his friend. Upon reaching a window on the second floor, he simply braces a hand on the sill and vaults out of it, Tim a golden streak beside him as he hits the ground in a steady half-crouch, then springs right into a sprint.]
Lavi! Where are you going?

He's far enough away from the PDA that when Allen calls out through it he barely registers the noise. Misses it almost all together what with the thunder rumbling at that exact moment.
The second time that Allen yells, when he's outside in the rain, gets Lavi to stop walking away. Even with his rush the redhead has managed to get over a block away from the building. He smiles weakly, a bag in hand that he didn't have in the frame.]
Just out for a little, I can't stand being in the apartment right now. [The scrawls in the wall, Rhode's childish handwriting asking "Did it hurt?" and the more familiar script used by Bookman "You're a failure as an apprentice." Even if the old man had never said those words they might have been a thought along with everything else ( ... )

[Quickly checks Lavi over, gaze flickering at the bag he's carrying. That sure doesn't look like you're just out for a little bit, mister.]
[ pushes wet bangs out of his eyes, trying to lighten the mood with a reference to the advice they both gave Naoto: ] Could have picked a better time for a walk, though. [ sobering ] They're just words, Lavi. Don't listen to her.

It's just got food, a dry towel, one of the notebooks Cross gave him, and some water. Enough for a day or two. Perhaps four.]
Only way to get where I'm going, Allen. [But there's no jovial air in Lavi's tone.] Doesn't matter, I'm tired of them and I need to get away.

Be careful, stupid rabbit.

And yes it is. :'D
Lavi doesn't hear his words, too far away by this point, but he does appreciate them just the same.]

it's only when Lavi crosses the bridge that Kanda gets up. hair pulled up into a bun, he leaves the sword behind again as he, too, makes his way towards town. he hasn't visited yet, so now's a good a time as any. not like there's anything interesting to look at in the apartment anyway.
maybe he'll manage to catch up with Lavi, if not cross his path at some point while wandering around.]

Town is more interesting than the scribbles on the walls, that's for damn sure. Though Kanda probably ignored them or would have if he could have seen them, like was said, those lotuses get in the way.
By way of taking a wandering sort of path to his trolley car picked out ages ago as his little home away from home his path there is longer. Gives them more chances to run into one another, it's almost like he's sight seeing as Lavi is looking up at some of the ruined buildings and wondering what they must've looked like in their hay-day.
Kanda's footsteps draw him from his thoughts, so deliberately built to try and get the writings pushed to the back of his mind.]
...Yuu?

hearing his name, he looks in the direction of the voice. despite having heard it quite frequently, living in the same building and all, it still takes a few seconds to place who it is without seeing the owner.]
Lavi.

Surprising with all the floors (three) between them, though Lavi did tend to get loud if he was trying to do something that frustrated him. Like mending his clothes. Needles hurt.
That hesitation gives him away as well as the lack of sword and Lavi gives him a weak grin.] Still not so used to hearing my voice again, huh?

[you’re not the only one who can’t stand seeing all those thing written on the wall, though, Ruca was not thinking of actually leaving the apartment... But he did leave his room. As he saw the weather he kind of decided to just stay in the front doors to the apartment and watch the rain (it was always better than starting at those walls), then he saw the feed.
And the rest just happened. After he notices Lavi in the rain he runs up to him.
He looks worried.]
Lavi...

He glances back at Ruca and smiles a little, running out of them quicker than he'd like.]
Shouldn't be out here in the rain, Ruca. Might catch a cold, yeah?

[more frowning.]
What are you doing out here in such a weather?
[and leaving the communicator behind like this.]

[Ruca won't get him to take it with him, Allen failed in that too.]
Just heading out for a few days, need to clear my head after this week.
