[There's no way Allen would have let this go on for seven whole minutes, so let's say he was checking on Lenalee, so intent on not waking her up he only realised there's an ongoing broadcast upon leaving her room.]

[His brow furrows in confusion, then knits tight when Lavi starts walking away ― leaving his PDA behind.]

―Lavi? Lavi!

[He tackles the stairs at a run, glancing out the window on each floor to make sure he doesn't lose sight of his friend. Upon reaching a window on the second floor, he simply braces a hand on the sill and vaults out of it, Tim a golden streak beside him as he hits the ground in a steady half-crouch, then springs right into a sprint.]

Lavi! Where are you going?

[Poor Lenalee, she hadn't seemed to be ill when she delivered his present but sometimes it slips his mind how quickly one's health can change. Especially in a place that lets drafts and rain in, where food is lacking, and the sun seems to hide away in the clouds constantly.

He's far enough away from the PDA that when Allen calls out through it he barely registers the noise. Misses it almost all together what with the thunder rumbling at that exact moment.

The second time that Allen yells, when he's outside in the rain, gets Lavi to stop walking away. Even with his rush the redhead has managed to get over a block away from the building. He smiles weakly, a bag in hand that he didn't have in the frame.]

Just out for a little, I can't stand being in the apartment right now. [The scrawls in the wall, Rhode's childish handwriting asking "Did it hurt?" and the more familiar script used by Bookman "You're a failure as an apprentice." Even if the old man had never said those words they might have been a thought along with everything else

[Allen slows down to a brisk jog when he realises Lavi's at least waiting for him to catch up first. His coat's been left behind in his hurry, but he barely notices the rain slowly matting his white hair to pale grey. Under the overcast sky, he looks washed out, the skin around his eyes stretched thin and lightly bruised from fatigue; but overall, he doesn't look too much the worse for wear even though it's a play week. Heaven only knows what he's been seeing on his walls, but they don't appear to have shaken him much.]

[Quickly checks Lavi over, gaze flickering at the bag he's carrying. That sure doesn't look like you're just out for a little bit, mister.]

[ pushes wet bangs out of his eyes, trying to lighten the mood with a reference to the advice they both gave Naoto: ] Could have picked a better time for a walk, though. [ sobering ] They're just words, Lavi. Don't listen to her.

[Lavi's betting it's nothing pleasant, Libitina didn't seem the type to allow that when she wanted to torture them. So the day of carnival fun had been an...oddity that the redhead had personally avoided though he noticed that most made their way out there.

It's just got food, a dry towel, one of the notebooks Cross gave him, and some water. Enough for a day or two. Perhaps four.]

Only way to get where I'm going, Allen. [But there's no jovial air in Lavi's tone.] Doesn't matter, I'm tired of them and I need to get away.

[At this, the curve of Allen's mouth fades into a set line save for the worried little twist to it in one corner. He reaches to give Lavi's bag a pointed tug.]

Where are you going?

[Because there's a marked lack of options here in Nesreca.]

[Lavi half turns away, head turned to look out at the city instead of Allen. He's quiet for a little, mind going briefly to the trolley car that is his first stop but after that...]

I don't know. I'll stay within the city limits, Allen. Just wander around.

[It's spoken with a slight gesture of his right hand at Lavi's bag.]

We only have a few hours left to go, though, and... I'll listen. If you'd let me. [It's an offer, one he's making so Lavi knows he isn't alone in this, but one he's just as willing to drop. They all have their distances to keep regarding certain things, after all.]

A day or two, I just need to think and clear my head Allen. That's all.

[He shakes his head at the offer, you know he likes keeping his own worries and things like that to himself. The ones that focus on him, but if it concerns the others it'll come right out.]

[Well, who is he to deny Lavi the same reprieve Kanda needed. Flicks his eyes at the sky, then looks right at Lavi.]

At least bring your communicator along, will you?

[And you can bet he's going to go looking for you if you aren't back in two days.]

[Lavi looks back at Allen, then reaches out to ruffle his damp hair or as much of it as he can.]

No, I want to be alone, yeah? That thing... It won't let me be.
