It's 24 days until Ben leaves for the University of Southern California, and an engineering degree to go with his physics degree. Mostly I'm just ignoring it and trying to enjoy the rest of the time I have left with him. I don't really know what I could say that won't make this even more depressing. I thought the long distance business you had going on before would be too hard to handle so I can only imagine what you'll be going through soon. Hang in there.

I think parts of it will certainly be harder than our present situation (having absolutely no physical contact, gah, the lack of cuddling is going to be excruciating and I'm really dreading it), but other parts may be easier (talking more on the phone, having more free time to concentrate on my hobbies, friends, and schoolwork). So, we'll see. :-/ Thanks.

*hug* As somebody who's currently doing long-distance (and is about to make the distance even longer with a four-month sprint to Japan...), I feel your pain. Good luck with getting through it; I know you can manage, but I also know how much it sucks <3

Man... I almost never see posts from you, I didn't know you were having to go the LDR cross-world thing. (Whether that's because you post infrequently or I'm not on a superclose filter, whichever, s'all good.) Good luck for you too.

*laughs* I barely have any filters aside from my big one (aka the one consisting of those aware that I bat for both teams ~_^). I really do just post very, very infrequently; LJ for me is mostly a method of keeping up on what everyone else is doing. I think Japan'll change that because of timezones and the like, making actual realtime communication a tad difficult.

Thanks. As we live far away from each other to begin with, I think we can do this; however, I'm not relishing the thought.

No basis of experience to say anything here, really. But I just wanted to add, hang in there. You'll still have the phone and the internet. And at least after Thanksgiving, you'll only have a few weeks before he's back for Christmas, right? And that's usually a good few weeks of vacation, right? (Trying to help you look on the bright side. Probably failing.)
And you never know. Time can sometimes fly, even when you don't think it will get off the ground at all.
