I don't know why, but this chapter was such a fast read that I was surprised to get to the end.

(I actually compiled a few hints from earlier chapters so people who wanted to could get some idea of what the next chapter will be about; it's here if you wanted to see it.)

As always, I love how unassuming Ben can be, when we know that he can be utterly ruthless when those he cares about is threatened.

And you know, I hadn't even thought about it, but you're right that the Hudmels are joining one by one. Kurt was first, Burt was second, Carole's joining in now, and then there's Finn.

(In other news, I keep having THOUGHTS and FEELINGS about how Carole was married to a Marine who fought in the Gulf, and how that could connect to two different LOST storylines. I have no idea if I'm going to do anything, but man. There's a few things there to play with, for sure.)

(Your here's-what-you-missed post is hilarious, because it's a nice compilation of all the parts I've been reading as "lost lost lost lost lost lost wait-did-she-say-polar-bears? lost lost lost.")
(My husband saw me watching those Dharma Initiative videos last night, and I had to explain that I was doing research for fanfic. BUT IT'S AMAZING, I protested.)
(I am still confused. I have decided to stop looking up things on wikipedia and just let you explain everything.)

The Dharma Initiative videos are awesome and hysterical. "The octagon comes from a Chinese symbol Could there be connections to China? COMMUNIST China?" And the graphics are wonderful; I love the skull with the swirly eyes that they use every time the narrator says BRAINWASHING. And just the overdramatic narration. And everything about them, really.
