j2 non-au getting together fic involving unrequited love [doesn't matter if it's jared or jensen], which obvsly becomes requited in the end ;) er, perhaps this somehow happens while they're decorating the house for halloween or designing their costumes for a party? a 6'5" ghost sounds kinda cracky and funny and adorable :D

"Your pumpkin is ugly," says Jared.

"Your face is ugly," says Jensen absently, widening the pumpkin's eyehole. "And my pumpkin is awesome."

"It's going to scare children away," says Jared. "Because it's so ugly," he adds, in case Jensen missed that.

Jensen sticks his tongue out, concentrating hard on the pumpkin's really weird-looking mouth. Jared wants to tackle him and kiss him breathless. Which is pretty much normal.

"We're supposed to scare them," Jensen points out when the mouth is sufficiently hideous. "It's Halloween."

"If they run, they won't come get candy from us."

"And that's a bad thing?" asks Jensen. "More for you."

"Point."

"But I know you love cooing over the cute costumes." Jensen shakes his head and grins at Jared. It hits him right between his lungs--he always knows Jensen is hot, but sometimes it just gets him. Jensen is really, inhumanly good-looking. "You don't look like a soccer mom, and yet
