Sigh. Even though I don't watch Bones, I loved this. And the sequels. And now the thoughts. Your dialog just makes me grin. :)

First off. I totally think Dean is unaware that Brennan has a name beyond "crazy bone chick."

Here is another example of how there is no backstory here. Like, how did they meet? How did Bones and Booth discover what Dean and Sam do? The mysteries are endless! Just in my brain SPN and Bones crossing over is taken for granted, so I end up ignoring the details. Well done, self.

See, I think it works. The way you write it, there doesn't need to be a backstory because here we are, and this is the story we are ready and background is unnecessary. In fact, I think backstory might detract from this story. It's just the style of this story to come out of nowhere and never explain itself.

Anyway, love all your work. You always suck me in and leave me satisfied. Very interesting seeing your thoughts here.

This fic made me laugh the first time I read it and dvd commentary only made it more awesome. In my head, I just assume that there's a reason for the crossover and watch with amusement. A+
