Sam Puckett joins SHIELD. Carly can join too or be her girlfriend back at home she tells about her wacky adventures or whatever. Or she can just go on missions/hang out with any of the awesome ladies from Avengers canon. I'm easy! Maybe Sam is too, IDK.
"Oh, you know," says Sam. Carly can hear her eating on the other end of the phone; she hopes Sam hasn't been stealing from the mess hall. Does SHIELD have strict rations? Probably not, they're not actually military. Maybe.
"I really don't," says Carly. "I have no idea what you're doing. Or what it's like. Or if you've been kicked out and you're eating something you found in the trash."
"Okay, first, it's chicken, and it's not trash chicken. And I'm in training, Carls! Learning how to be the best S.H.I.E.L.D. agent I can be!"
"Yeah, and what does that mean?"
"I get my own hover car, that's sweet." She pauses. "Already totaled it."
"Of course."
"But they're teaching me how to put it back together. I'm their most promising new engineer. And I get a gun. Two guns
