Steve rested his shoulder against the doorway of Danny's office and grinned. Danny was hair-deep in paperwork, stacks of which littered his desk and almost obscured him from Steve's sight.

"Type of expenditure," Danny muttered to himself, but loud enough for anyone passing by to hear. "Hand grenades. Reason for expenditure. My partner is a loon."

This was so funny! Steve will do anything to make sure Danny knows he's in the best possible place with the best possible lover!
I really liked the way Steve memorized the list,lol in order to do that.
Of course,all he really had to do was take Danny to bed to show him how good he has it! :)

I loved the last line-yes,Danny will be on a rant for a long time when he hears where New Jersey is on the list.
He'll be convinced it's a conspiracy!

The only way to fight Danny's exaggerations (or outright lies) is for Steve to act like a good attorney. I watch too many procedurals, police and medical . :)
