nuzlocke challenge - The Adventures of Yolo

Story so far:

Obtained KFC the (male) Torchic.
First pokemon caught: Shimmy the (female) Wurmple, lvl 2
Shimmy slaughtered by wild zigzagoon at lvl 4, avenged by KFC.

Caught Zuko the (male) Zigzagoon, despite having a vendetta against them after the death of Shimmy.
Zuko proves himself ot be quite useful, finding much-needed items such as full heals,

Bwahahaha, I am.. playing all sorts of pokemon games, but Ruby was the only one that I had absolutely no reason not to restart (okay, i had awesome furnature i'd never get again, but I had already transfered the pokemon on there to pearl ages ago)

You know what the Nuzlocke challenge is, right? It's where you play through as far as you can with the following rules (at least)

a) You can only catch one pokemon per new area, and it must be the first pokemon you encounter. (No repeat catches, either).

b) If your pokemon faints, it is considered dead, and must be released.

c) TMs and Pokeballs are the only items you are allowed to purchase from the shops. (zigzagoon is a godsend with this rule in state)

I've added a rule to my playthrough though - the first rule may be broken ONLY if a shiny is encountered. I haven't run across any in this game yet, but.. just in case. :)
