Hoorn

Hoorn is an old town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. Founded in 716, it became home base for the Dutch East India Company during Holland's "Golden Age". Cape Horn was named after the town by Willem Schouten, who rounded it in 1616 and was a native of Hoorn.

Здесь жена про эту птичку небольшое видео создала. Даже брачный танец поймать умудрилась, несколько секунд. И в гнезде тоже. Я ее к автобусу тяну, а она отбивается, снимает...:)))

What is the deal with leaning forward facades? I guess they just made a mistake during construction and then they said it was intentional. lol

Santa doesn't dressed properly. I bet they have an explanation for the inappropriate behavour, too. ;)

Summarizing everything up - it was cute but very messed up little town. lol

According to Santa, it's not a mistake, though he didn't know the reason. This is if you believe he knows what he's talking about:)

Santa was inappropriate in more than just his clothing:) At the end, he declared his intention to continue excursion beyond what was planned, and who wants to go back to the ship, "that man from the ship will lead you back". And he disappeared instantly, with some people from the group, we didn't even had time to tip him, he just was nowhere to be found! Another proof that he was real Santa... We had afternoon excursion to the tulip farm, we had to go back. "The man from the ship" happened to be from different ship and refused to lead us anywhere, but he was kind enough to give us clear directions, so we found the ship with no further adventures:)))

That mess up thingy must be contagious! Everybody and everything behave weirdly in that place. Good job you hadn't stuck there because you would be dearly missed, dude! :)

Looking back, I guess we were lucky to get out of there so easy:) But place is nice:)

Там вроде в давние времена сиротский приют был, а мальчишка был сильно шустрый, и каким-то образом устроил пожар. Не помню всей истории, но так эта статуя на крыше очутилась:)

То ли птицы нас находят, то ли мы их:))

Надо будет и по нашей молодой стране поездить:)
