An anniversary

It's hard to believe you've only been there 15 years. You seem like such a Londoner!

Wow, I didn't know the story of your arrival...and I can't believe it happened when I was there!!! I had visited England in December 1995, just six months after I came out, and I loved it. I was thrilled to hear about a job opening at my company in England and pushed and pushed until they transfered me the hell out of Michigan.

After two-and-a-half years when my contract ended I had fallen out of love with England but I'm so glad I did it. I thought I was daring but look at you!

Less than three years after moving back to Michigan I took another plunge and moved to New York. In 2001. Crazy year, but I'm definitely not leaving.

You didn't ask for my story, but I thought it was relevant. ;{)}

Are you still with the same company?

So when we briefly meet you were just visiting, right?

No, I've changed - I now work for much a smaller company (which was created by a management buyout of a product from the original company).

Yes, I was just visiting England with a side trip to France. It was my first trip back since I'd moved back to the U.S.

Strangely enough someone I met in France on that trip just contacted me for the first time in almost eleven years. Wow.

Good for your for remaining employed. :{)}
