Good Saturday, irritating Sunday

May 10, 2009 22:03

Our guests were Lynne, Peter and Sim, and of course Evan.

Here's the menu:
- Focaccia
- Roasted peppers stuffed with tuna and capers
- Pear and Parmesan carpaccio
- Grilled duck breasts with marmalade glaze and potato rosti
- Chocolate and ( Read more... )

WOW

That's some proper food porn. I've always admired people who adore cooking. I don't like it at all. Am I still gay? :)

A big chunk of the day (but I enjoyed it)

And well, what's the alternative?
Linux - I hear - can be a pain too; and Apple systems are way too expensive!

As always the food looks great.

McAfee on the other hand is universally a pain in the rear. I don't know anyone who has installed it on a personal machine that knows how to use it properly. It's so technical and obsucure that any time something pops up on the screen people either always click on "Allow" and thus allow all the malware in and then call me in to fix it, or they always click on "Decline" and thus block the machine from doing anything useful and then they call me in to fix it. They'd all be better not using it at all to be honest.

Thank you!

I was trying to save money by using the McAfee system provided by BT with my broadband.
(I had ZoneAlarm).
