I would not call that so much addiction as passion. If you get WAY into something for awhile and then slowly lose interest, it is passion for that activity, food, or whatever waning. An addiction is something you would not give up for anything and is very hard to stop.

You are Italian so passion is something I would expect!

I think people with obsessive compulsive behaviour should be taken on as nurses. That way they'd always be washing their hands and MRSA would be a thing of the past.

Just a thought.
