It seems that Dumbledore was truly pants at raising up a good strong 'hero' out of AU Harry... I'm starting to wonder if he's actually on the dark side now, or if he is just worse at subtle over-time manipulation than the AU one. Or maybe he could never get himself to toughen up the AU Harry in the right ways, making him softer than the original Dumbledore... or something.

Something about AU Dumbledore is more relaxed, or AU Harry wouldn't have turned out so weak and unable to cope. Maybe he found out about the prophecy later, or maybe he's a bit of an Inception; a old man acting like a strong wizard acting like an old man.

I don't know. I love this series :D

No, Dumbledore isn't evil. But he is fallible and human, and someone who has managed to conceal that for a long time. I think it is a problem that the Order still follows him so unquestioningly.

Well, that's assuming AU Harry was weak in the "commits suicide because he's so terrified he can see no other way out" way.

Thank you!

I also wonder why Albus would not provide Harry with information. Sees very strange.

Great chapter! But I cannot wait for more!!!

That would mean telling him everything. And there are still some things that he doesn't want him to know.

Thank you!

It is a good thing that irony does not inspire an allergic reaction in me.Ha ha, brilliant! Snape has some really great lines. I think I like reading his pov almost as much as I do Harry's, which is saying something, because I hate his guts in Ashborn. It never fails to amaze how you do several versions of the same character and none seems ooc ( ... )

'It never fails to amaze how you do several versions of the same character and none seems ooc. '

SO true.

Thank you! I appreciate it. In this case, I think Snape being AU makes it easier because his relationship to Harry is very different, while in Ashborn, of course, it's AU but with most of the horrible things already having happened.

The Order might come around given enough time. Right after the scolding is not the best time for it to happen, though.

Dumbledore might have a more subtle plan under the surface, beneath which is another layer of pretending not to know, beneath which is a layer of...both Snape and Harry know the dangers of letting paranoia consume them.

Voldemort's history is not known completely to anyone but himself. Some will come out in bits and pieces as the story goes on, though.

I do want to get back to Heraclitean Fire, yes! This story rather took over from it. For the moment, I'm enjoying the freedom of not having to write 10- or 12,000 words every three days, and thinking about it.

The Order members.... they all need to be yanked seperately into different worlds and see how THEY like it. Bastards.

That would be fun, yes. But do you include Snape in that?
