There was a large portion of me that was glad for Lucy's words, no matter how harsh. Good to see Harry taking the initiative to see Draco.

Thank you! I do think they were necessary, not so much for their truth as for what they made Harry do.

A lot of Lucy's behavior can be explained by the Veela side, but there's also the fact that the only thing she knows about Harry is that he's afraid of Veela- and hurting Draco. She finds it hard to understand why anyone wouldn't want to be a Veela's chosen. She is more apologetic after seeing what Harry's magic does to protect him and the way he looks, though.
