Alright, this one made me cry. My heart is breaking for both of them. I don't think that Lucy is right about Harry being a coward; I think, in fact, that he's quite the opposite, especially going through what he is going through right now for Draco. He does deserve to be loved. I hope he can realize this. And I agree with Lucy; the more I hear about Laurent, the more I want to kill him.
I hope Draco can express his needs to Harry as well, especially about being held down by Harry's magic. This is not much different than Laurent holding Harry down with his wings...

Thank you!

Harry is slowly working his way back to that realization. But he did think that everything he was doing was for the best, so I think he needed to hear the accusation of cowardice, even if it wasn't true.

Draco did not get to that in the next chapter (as you know), but he will mention it later.

I understand where Lucy is coming from but I think she is just as limited as Harry. Yes, Harry is unknowingly abusing Draco and suffereing, but it is a human hurt. He does not understand the Veela side perfectly. Lucy seems only to think of the Veela in this situation. I know she meanss best but I think she has some contempt for humans in general. I am not sure whether her lack of comfort will help him or hurt him. Harry really does need to talk to Draco. Lucy's veela presence alone cannot cure him alone.

Side note, that brakedown harry had with his magic was beautifully described. I could see it all in my mind. It was art.

I accidentally posted my comment as anonymous. Here it is again under my name.:

Lucy has been friends with Draco for a while, which is why she thinks of him first. As Harry says in the next chapter, he would think of his friends in the same way.

Don't worry, Harry does talk to Draco.

And thank you!

DED.

The stresssssssssssssssss in this chapter..... and Harry's progress; so hard-won. This was a really graphic chapter as well, and I thought it came across very very powerfully. I'm a little in awe of you :)

MOAR!

You've got such a grasp of human psyche.

Draco's thought process and hesitations on what was the right way to address Harry felt true.

As for Harry's battle with his fears and demons, it was complex and touching.

Can't wait for their next conversation.

Thank you!

Draco doesn't know as much as he sometimes pretends to Harry he does, particularly about how victims recover from trauma. That means that he's going to make mistakes along the way, while trying frantically not to make them so that he won't hurt Harry further.
