I always feel physically uncomfortable when I'm reading stories in which one of them doesn't realise how deeply the other is feeling, but I love reading these stories anyway because it makes it so much better when they finally DO realise, and more importantly reciprocate. So thank you for this, I can't wait to see how it all pans out!
Thank you! If it helps, at the moment Harry and Draco's "depth" of feeling is about the same. Draco is more aware, but Harry is going to be aware that he likes fighting with Draco after this particular duel. Draco isn't thinking that he's in love with Harry or anything like that.
Ohh such a good chapter! I can't wait to find out where this dark magic is coming from! And I got SO excite when Harry told Draco he was the right sort to do great deeds with. Most excited than Draco even lol XD
Draco knows that he can't get rid of the compatible magic, and after the war, it's his nature to put up with the inevitable and look for the benefits if it has benefits.
That line is one of my favorites. It seems like a very Draco thing to say.
I'm really loving this story. Now that both Their Phoenix and Long Desired are wrapping up, this will definitely pop into the No.1 slot!
I'm interested to see if Harry won't start investigating who's behind the mysterious magic from this chapter and the previous. It's a very Harry thing to do. And Draco would go along to make sure Harry didn't do anything stupid.
I have a feeling there might be a trade made once Harry sees the pensieve. Harry talking about his fits in exchange for seeing the penseive memories. But I doubt Draco would let him until after he views them for himself.
And now I think I shall re-read your Intellectual Love Affair series since I can't find anything good to read and don't feel like wading through pages of substandard fanfiction. Unless you have any recommendations?
Harry will investigate as best he can. The structure of classes and the fact that they live tightly packed together like that will limit him more than he was limited at Hogwarts. And Draco's insistence on joining in won't be welcome at first.
Harry would need to realize whose Pensieve it was before he would want to see it, probably. I think he's learned his lesson about just peering in!
Unfortunately, the fics I've been reading lately are all WiPs that are very slow to update.

That compliment meant even more to Draco than he realizes right now.
