Oh, and I have one more. Are they connect somehow, the memories and the dark spell? I don't know how Draco is able to resist not viewing the memories. I'm dying of curiosity.
Yay for relationship development!! Ï was so happy with this chapter, from Harry's uneasiness to Draco's Slytherin ways to the wonderful fight together. I'm glad this has more Draco's involvement than Harry's while he didn't do anything against the illusion. I like how each can take the lead and follow when necessary. Their partnership will be very interesting, with Harry beinmg more instinctual and Draco more tactic-oriented. They really balance each other.
“We don’t stop it. We live with it.”
Draco's able to adapt easily, it seems. On the other hand, Harry tries to change anything he doesn't like... though in this case it appears he's just bewildered and upset it's Draco of all people. He actively tries to revert to his Hogwarts' opinion of him
( ... )
I didn't consciously think about balancing their relative involvement in the fight, but I'm really pleased that you noticed that!
Draco would fight against it harder if he a) found it revolting and b) thought there actually was a way to change it. After the war, he's very committed to accepting reality instead of deluding himself.
You're right that Harry doesn't like it when Draco ignores him. Or, at least, he decides that there must be some big evil secret if he does that.
Harry will probably hesitate when he notices some of the aspects of their partnership. These don't include things like fighting together, but do affect the fact that he's probably going to end up partnered with Draco instead of Ron.
No, Draco hasn't looked into the Pensieve yet. (This chapter takes place immediately after the other). He'll have to work up his courage before he does that.

Hey, let him have his little delusions. They'll be shattered soon enough.

Harry and Draco get a vague clue about the identity of the person behind the attacks in the next couple of chapters.

And those are both good questions.
