for me its getting out in the outside world and getting exercise - like easy beach volleyball or riding a bike or tai chi or whatever. those endorphins from the exercise are like little mini pills of e.
also, volunteering is good for the soul. i'm hooked-up with the local food bank and its been great. you can often sign-up as a special-events volunteer with places and help with random stuff at random places if you can't stick to a schedule.
also, picking some goals and then getting other people to know about them and helping you works well too. the whole community thing, i guess.
these are not great ideas. and are likely to make everything worse. i highly recommend losing 1500 dollars playing nolimit poker and then curling up into a ball and watching valley girl instead.
