WHO: Tino and Malin WHEN: Friday evening, December 11 WHERE: Tino's apartment WHAT: Tino and Malin have a temporary state of insanity. WARNING: Malin's nasty mouth.
Out of all the stupid things Tino had ever done in his life, this had to be one of the stupidest and the most idiotic. Thinking back to the conversation with Malin at that cafe where they had agreed to share Tino's apartment, Tino wondered if either one of them had been in their right mind, especially considering how Malin seemed to think of Tino. And to be honest, even Tino had his limits.
Currently he was afraid of what might happen if he reached that limit.
Suddenly then there was a huge BANG noise on the door and Tino jumped up from his chair. She's here! Putting his cup of coffee away, Tino continued his thought desperately. But why must she abuse my door...
Rushing to the front door, Tino opened it and the first thing he saw was a huge cardboard box, but when he lookd to the side he saw the very pissed off looking face of Malin. Flinching a bit, he held out his arms and mumbled nervously. "May I take that..?"
Better that it's the door and not something elseneedskerriesDecember 12 2009, 21:24:57 UTC
Why was it that every time she saw Tino Väinämöinen's face, she felt like punching him although she didn't really support violence of any kind? Just the nervous expression he always had around her was enough to irritate her to no end. Honestly, he's such a wimp, she thought annoyedly and glared at him. And why couldn't he speak properly? Is it really so hard?
She frowned at the man and thrust the box into his hands before turning around and returning outside to get a new one. She didn't utter a word while doing so, but one could clearly sense a tense atmosphere when she returned to the apartment she and Tino would be sharing from now on with yet another cardboard box - this time full of clothes. It wasn't as heavy as the book box so she was happy to carry it into the apartment and leave the heavier box for Tino to take care of as she pushed past him.
She looked around and said, "Looks a bit shabby. Oh well."

Letting out a quiet oompf-noise after Malin shoved the box against his chest, Tino took a good hold of it to keep it from falling. Good evening to you too... Sighing, he carried the box to the room that had belonged to Eduard not long ago and put it down, moving to get a new one. Because even if there were some communication problems between him and Malin, they were still going to be roommates from now on and that was enough reason to try to patch up their weird bumpy relationship. If that was even possible.
When he passed Malin in the livingroom doorway, he heard the comment and twitched a bit, rubbing his temples. "I know it's not as fancy as your previous apartment, but..." It's not worth it. "...nevermind."
Walking out of the apartment and down the stairs as fast as he could to save himself from the possible sharp answer. It was too late to take this back now, wasn't it? Squeezing the bridge of his nose, Tino felt the incoming headache. Stress, stress, stress, stress. Arriving down, Tino saw the piles of cardboard boxes and

Hearing Tino's explanation and then the quieter nevermind, Malin opened her mouth to reply but the man had already disappeared outside and left her alone in the apartment. Malin hmph'ed and scowled after him before looking around curiously again. She slowly walked into the room Tino had left the book box in and frowned, putting the box she was carrying down to the floor. The room wasn't big but it wasn't too small, either. She could live here alright

Muttering a quiet "Neither..." before being dragged into the bathroom, Tino difgeted on the toilet seat when Malin questioned him about the first-aid kit. He had meant to buy one, but somehow he had delayed it everytime it had crossed his mind. "Uhh, I know that. But I just..." He mumbled something about it being expensive and having to buy other stuff before shutting up and pointing at the closet above the mirror.

"Excuses," Malin cut Tino's explanations of high price short and snorted. "They're not that expensive. Luckily I have one with me but it's somewhere in the boxes and I can't be bothered to look for it now. If you really are too poor to buy one first-aid kit, you can have mine. I'll get a new one from work, so don't even think about protesting."
Malin raised her look at the closet Tino had pointed at and hmph'd. She stood on her toes and reached out to explore the closet and finally found some plasters and, surprisingly enough, a bottle of liquid meant for cleaning wounds. Without another word, she dipped a bit of cotton wool in the liquid and pressed it against the cut on Tino's hand, cleaning the wound. When Malin was satisfied with that, she took one plaster, tore it open and glued it on Tino's skin.
"There," she said, letting go of Tino's hand. "I've never met anyone as clumsy as you."

Looking at his hand and closing and opening his fist, Tino cracked a small, embarrassed smile at Malin's comment and looked up. "I'm pretty hopeless, I know." It was true. Tino knew he could be pretty clumsy and he also knew there weren't many things in which he shined, nor was he good looking. He was average in almost everything. Someone that didn't stick to your mind if you saw him.
I'm pretty useless, aren't I?
It wasn't like he felt bad about himself, it's just that sometimes something someone made made him feel insufficient. Even so, Tino smiled when he stood up and put the disinfectant back in to the closet. "You could? Thank you, I always forget to buy it even if I had some spare money on me."
"It's not a big deal," Malin assured and formed a small smile on her lips. She knew that people often found her usual expression mildly irritated, as if she was always annoyed (which she was, most of the time), and the only way to make it seem like she wasn't was to smile. "Take it as a payback for carrying the boxes. Thank you for that, by the way. I suppose you don't want to help me with unpacking too, so I'm going to get to that in a minute. Dishes first!"
She rolled up the sleeves of her silk blouse, winked at Tino and headed back to the kitchen. She took her coffee cup, now empty, washed it under water and then put it back where she had taken it from. Then she looked around and pouted slightly when she couldn't see Flower.
"Where's the cute little dog?" she asked. "She would surely keep me company while I'm unpacking."
