If anything, she was starting to regret even agreeing to come here. She wasn't supposed to mess with things like this. She...wasn't scared or anything, it was just that she had more respect for the dead.
...really.
She wasn't scared at all.
Plus, her legs were starting to get cold.

There were a few recipients of Natalia's pity, and this girl suffering from depression was one of them. Never had she felt a stronger pang of guilt from stealing than when her brother told her of her victim's condition. If only her brother knew what she had done; he had asked her to enjoy herself this evening. I am sorry, brother, but I will not be having any fun tonight. Spending a night at the cemetery served as a kind of penance for Natalia's sins ( ... )

Malin had decided against dressing up. It would only look stupid since she was sure Berwald wouldn't wear any costumes; and they were only going out for a walk at the People Cemetery, anyway. She was currently standing near the Cemetery, trying to warm up her hands because she wasn't wearing gloves. Maybe she had seriously underestimated the weather tonight ( ... )

"'ry I'm late," he mumbled when he got to where she was standing.

She nodded her head towards the Cemetery, raising her eyebrows. At least this would be a very Halloween-ish walk. She couldn't imagine a better place to scare oneself than a cemetery in the dark night... "Let's go."
She started walking slowly forward, a bit surprised to see a few people actually at the Cemetery as well. And why was she so surprised? she asked herself. Of course people would gather to the scariest place at Halloween.

Back at home, Berwald had often visited a graveyard with his father on All Saint's Day. In a way this made him feel nostalgic, though the mood was quite different without the candles on the graves. Optimistically, he'd brough a candle himself, but now felt a bit too foolish to dig it out, at least at that moment. So he just dug his hands in his pockets and eyed the view. The moon was out, so at least it wasn't completely dark, but the silvery light threw deep, long shadows. The graveyard looked old and rather crowded, stones tilting every which way like crooked teeth. Here and there there was a solitary tree.
It looked like the sort of place that was likely haunted, Berwald decided. Hopefully the ghosts wouldn't be too irate, being buried in hallowed ground and all.
He realized Malin hadn't said anything yet, and gave her a wary sideways glance. Berwald hoped she wouldn't bear a grudge about the disastrous attempt at a meal the other day.

She was looking at the scenery, feeling oddly calm inside - it was quiet and peaceful, although a bit eerie. However, her attention was caught by a woman who seemed to be searching for something on the ground. The woman was crawling on all fours, and Malin frowned at her, stepping closer.
"Do you need help?" she asked helpfully, looking down at the fair-haired woman. "Did you lost something?"

Rubbing her arms, Emiliana fought back a shudder. Even if she wasn't scared (which she wasn't), the place was still creepy. Especially since the sun had gone down a few minutes prior, leaving the entire cemetery shrouded in darkess and - Ay, dios mio was that fog settling around the graveyard?!
"Oh. Uh, sorry I'm late."
Fighting back a scream, Emiliana whirled around, eyes wide in fear as she caught sight of the blond she had been waiting for. "O-oh! Matthew! Y-You...ah...it's okay," she finished lamely, voice straining slightly as she worked to calm herself down. Unconsciously, her hand went up to the rosary hanging around her neck, fingers grasping it delicately and nervously as she smiled weakly up at the blond.
"A-are you ready to go? Or are we waiting for anyone else?"
[OOC: No, she's wearing a dress. And it's okay! I've been busy and dying from illness, too. But I miss you and our fail awesomeness. ;A;]
