Having finally acquired the ingredient she needed she put her grocery basket on her arm and turned to find the cinnamon which was further down the isle.
As she walked away she heard a robust whistle come from the stranger's lips. The tune was one she new well and she smiled and hummed as she walked.
Before she even really noticed it, she found herself singing under her breath.
"Fa, a long, long way to go..."
That' what Seychelles had in store for her with this all night baking project, but it was something she loved to do.
Her voice got a little louder.
"So, a needle pulling thread!"

She needed encouragement, though he could tell her voice had gotten a little louder. With a pointed step toward her, inconspicuously making it look as if he were browsing the nearby spices opposite of her, and assisted her.
His voice was considerably louder than hers, mind you, but not loud enough to steal the stage.
"La, a note to follow So."

"Ti!~ A drink with jam and bread!" she sang, raising her voice. It wasn't like anyone was in the isle to hear, after all.
They came together to begin the song again.
"That will bring us back to..."
"Do, do, do, do...DO!~ A deer a female deer!"
At this point all shopping had been forgotten in the interest of singing.
He had such a lovely voice too. Seychelles felt herself smiling wider and wider.

"Ti!~ A drink with jam and bread!" their voices matched perfectly - same tone, same amount of vibrato.
"Re, a drop of golden sun~"
By this time, he had abandoned his blue basket of groceries and began rhythmically tapping his right foot.
"Mi, a name I call myself!"

"I'm Seychelles Voilier," she informed him. "It's so good to meet you Dewi!~"
With that she threw her arms around him in a giant hug. She was so thrilled.
"That was so much fun," Seychelles informed the taller man, still nestled in his arms. "We have to sing again!~"
They were causing a bit of a scene. The butcher at the meat counter had nearly chopped his hand off because he was so distracted.

"I would love to. Have you a song title in mind?" He made no effort in explaining to her that he had a knowledge for any and every song out of a musical from The Sound of Music to Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street to Wicked.

Seychelles paced a circle around Dewi, deep in thought.
"OH!~" she cried, suddenly struck by inspiration. "How about 16 Going On 17? It'll stay consistent!~"
Seychelles was already humming, warming up for the next song. The guy was quite handsome, doing a romantic duet promised fun.

"I would be honored," he began, her enthusiasm contagious and seeping through and blurring the line of his attempt to remain civil and somewhat proper despite the name the two had created for themselves for all of the shoppers.
He took her hand and began singing:
"You wait, little girl, on an empty stage
For fate to turn the light on
Your life, little girl, is an empty page
That men will want to write on..."
