Where they early, Macbeth vaguely pondered as he glanced around the empty park. He had expected a few more people already, like the type who could probably tell him the current standings for the Scottish Premier League it was probably Rangers or Celtic.

He tugged at the collar of his jersey, swallowing thickly the saliva that seemed to stick in his throat. The fabric of his long sleeved undershirt was abruptly unbearably itch inducing.
His fingers traced along the small embroidered Latvian flag above his heart.
He was going to need the strength of a god to survive this encounter in one piece. Why-oh-why had he thought that going out to play futbol with strangers was a good idea?

A couple of people were already there. Kim recognized Mac, but he was on the other team. Oh, well, who cares? It's just a friendly match anyway. She stretched, and headed over to a bench, and sat down, figuring she could just wait for the rest to show up.
The bag she'd brought with her had a bottle of water, and a couple of sandwiches. They'd come in handy later, she wasn't hungry right now.
