GDI Lili stop being so moe puffin_magic March 21 2011, 04:13:47 UTC

Valdi had definitely underestimated how much backtracking he'd have to do to find this girl.
He'd passed her on the way home from work, on the crossing through Gallery Square towards the The Charleston. The poor girl had looked lost and terrified, and he'd swallowed a great deal of guilt to lower his head and hurry on past her, assuming that a parent would return or a more mature adult would deal with it ( ... )

Lili drew in a quick breath as the rain stopped and there was suddenly someone next to her. Her eyes darted up to meet the pale-haired boy's as a thankful smile beamed across her face. The little dog's head poked up to meet the young man as well, but his expression remained the same. Lili assumed that he was thankful for their rescuers arrival as well ( ... )

"Valdi." He reached out to ruffle the dog's fur, immediately regretting his actions with the realization that said stray was also soaking wet.
"It's not a problem, I was just heading home from work anyway."

He turned his attention to meet Lili's gaze properly for the first time; she appeared to be younger than him, but not by much, and he had to chalk up any assumptions he had about her 'parents' or 'guardians' being around to circumstance.
A less willing part reminded him that he'd been in a similar position not much more than a year ago, when he'd first run into Tino.
"Where are you trying to get to?"

Following her scan of the surroundings, Valdi was silently appreciative of it being a Sunday; few bars and pubs would be opening tonight, and there were no annoying high school kids to battle through on the way home.

"Nice to meet you, V-Valdi." Lili was hoping that her stutter was stemmed from the freezing weather and not from the nervousness of letting a stranger show her the way home. Though, Lili did have a hard time considering Valdi a stranger seeing as how generous he was being and how harmless he looked.

Lili thought for a moment about the direction in which she was headed. The grocery store was a lost cause at this point. "Oh, I live in those condos in Vichy Plaza. With the French name I think..." She struggled for a moment, trying to think of the name while switching her grip on the cradled puppy. "Tall, door, something. I-I'm sorry I can't pronounce it, do you know where I am talking about?"

The young woman was getting a bit frustrated with herself. It was a rash and unwise decision to leave the bus when she did and now she couldn't even remember the name of the complex she lived in. She glanced at Valdi apologetically hoping he, too, would not be frustrated with her.
