Berwald's first, irrational thought was I'm glad and then he immediately felt a bit guilty about it. It wasn't like he wanted Tino to feel bad in any way and he'd done his best not to worry over him deciding it was all mistake or meeting someone else while away... but sometimes he hadn't been able to help it, while lying awake in the bed that felt too big after sharing it with Tino.
"m' too," he said quietly, because that much at least was true and something he could say aloud too.
"Good camp?" he asked. He was pretty sure it had been, just by how Tino looked, all accomplished and happy. It was still a rather worrying thought, him being a policeman and putting himself to danger... but if it made him happy like this, Berwald couldn't begrudge it.
Pulling back slightly and looking up at the Swedish man, Tino smiled brightly and nodded. "It was great. Really great."
Not really wanting to let go of him, Tino felt embarrassed for acknowledging this feeling and looked down a bit before looking up at him again, smiling. He had really missed him. He had felt a bit nervous about coming back, but now he saw that his worry had been misplaced. Rubbing Berwald's arms slightly, unable stop his smiling, he tlted his head at him.

Berwald nodded wordlessly. "Yeah, guess it's a bit cold," he mumbled, reduced to discussing the weather. Not so much because he felt awkward, for once, his emotions were just being a bit overwhelming at the moment. He really didn't want to let go of Tino either but... he'd have to eventually

Even though for a moment Tino felt like telling Berwald that he could carry his bag by himself, he decided against it when he saw his face, smiling and sighing a bit. As they walked towards the house he suddenly felt Berwald's hand press against his back, and after the surprise of it wore off, he smiled and lowered his gaze a bit. It was so great to notice they could still be close like this without too much awkwardness. Besides, it made him feel truly welcomed, as if he already didn't. When they reached the front steps, Tino suddenly heard yapping and the scratching of nails against the floor, and he couldn't help but grin
