WHO: The Domestic Couple
WHEN: Tuesday, March 1st
WHERE: Their house
WHAT: Baby I'm coming hoooooooome~
Tino had missed Berwald for a long while now. The first week at the academy had went fairly quickly, since everything was new and he didn't have the time to think about the Swede back at home. But the as the routine formed for him, he found that during the following few weeks the time he spent homesick increased day by day. Of course he loved it there, the training really put him to his limits and the theoretical parts he found to enjoy as well, being used to sitting quietly while listening to lectures. His favourite part of the training had of course been shooting, because even though he tried not to praise himself too much, he had been the best of the recruits and they had noticed too. Luckily they had chosen the route of admiration rather than jealousy.
Now the month was finally over, and he was sitting in a bus, only few stops away from their house. He had texted Berwald earlier, so he knew he was at home, and he was beginning to get a bit nervous. After he had confessed to him in December, they had only had a month to get used to it before he had left, and Tino honestly hoped the time apart wouldn't have widened the gap between them again after they had somehow managed to shrink it down.
Stepping out of the bus, he quickly starts to walk towards the house he could see from there, his bag flung over his shoulder and his heart beating quickly. He felt a bit stupid for it, like some little girl, but he couldn't help it. Accelerating his steps, he finally reached their driveway and walked along it until he could see their front porch... And there he was. Berwald. Waiting for him.
Opening the gate, he stepped in the yeard and closed it behind him, staring at the tall Swede, swallowing and finding his throat was dry. What followed was the two staring at each other as both started to walk towards each other. When they finally reached each other, neither said anything for a moment before suddenly Berwald stepped forward and Tino felt himself being pulled against him, the large arms wrapping around him, squeezing him so tightly a weaker being might've crushed. Tino's bag fell to the ground and it took just seconds for him to catch on before he put his arms around the other as well, hugging him back, at least just as tightly, and when he finally heard his hoarse voice welcoming him back home, he couldn't but smile widely and tighten his hold a bit, saying the only words that seemed appropriate.
"I missed you."
