Yong Soo fastened his skates methodically, the laces pulled taut and then looped into tight knot. His skates were still sharp. They had not been worn since last winter, when he had taken Kim-noona skating. He didn't remember much, and thinking about it again made him feel worse than when Han Soo Hyun from 아빠셋 엄마하나 was being a jerk to Song Na Young. Whatever the reason, he knew he had been selfish that day. And considering Kim-noona's perpetual frown, he knew she hadn't let it go. Feeling an unresolved sexual tension in the atmosphere, he decided to finally teach his noona skating. It was practically invented in Korea, anyways!
"You better have a good reason to take me here."
Yong Soo bucked up, slightly raising his hand in greeting when the Vietnamese girl continued, "Why are you this time insisting on teaching me when you last time said you never would? I suck, remember?"Yong Soo sheepishly nodded, the chilly air and shame staining his cheeks and ears with a tinge of red. "Don't worry!" He put up an energetic front, willing the

"...." Kim narrowed her eyes when he apologized. It hadn't really been like him to be... the way he'd been last winter. Maybe he'd just had a bad day.
"...Alright, alright. I forgive you. People are watching, idiot." she said, blushing herself now that a few people looked in their direction when hearing Yong Soo. But it was cold too, so it was probably just the cold giving her cheeks color.
Yes, it really was.
Kim sat down on the bench and put on her own skates. Only used once, that day last winter. But time to forget that day and hope today would be more fun. And that she didn't break anything. That would suck.
"It's impossible to stay mad at you anyway. Let's go." she said and got up after fastening them securely, taking his arm and heading over to the ice. She did NOT want to fall on her face right away, so he might as well keep her up on her feet for a few minutes.

Yong Soo shook his head in a clownish fashion, not listening to Kim's words. He evidently still believed that her forgiveness shouldn't have been received so easily. I mean, it took the girl ages to forgive the guy in Korean dramas! And Yong Soo lived by the unmentioned code. He was adamant that Kim-noona was still a bit suspecting, and thus he'd make sure that tonight would be 짱이다!
"It's impossible to stay mad at you anyway. Let's go."
He knew it. Kim-noona was still mad at him, no doubt! Because this exact line had been an archetype in numerous different dramas! Yong Soo grinned shrewdly. Oh, Kim-noona. She was being a 삐순이. Yong Soo was now determined more than ever to make this non-date date a success!
With his secret plan in mind, Yong Soo grinned and took Kim's arm in his, carefully linking them together in a way that her weight was shifted onto him.
"Want to start with the basics first?" He asked in a soothing tone, sensing that Kim had suddenly become stiff. He regarded her owlishly. Was she afraid of breaking something?
Her balance on iceskates wasn't the best, but at least she hadn't fallen over yet. "Yeah, let's do that." she answered to his question. Knowing the basics was the key, right?
The ice was of course slippery, but she was determined to stay on her feet. And if she fell, she'd make sure Yong Soo fell too. Except he was a bit too strong for her to be able to drag down. Might have to think up some other way to make him trip....
Her mother would probably be thrilled if she saw this...

Kim decided not to think about that.
