Falling asleep at her desk seemed to be becoming a reoccurring problem for Rory recently. It wasn't even like her work load was larger than usual, more like... She awoke with a start when she managed to knock her ink jar off with her arm, smashing against the ground. "What? Oh sh- Scourgify!" She said, sighing and putting her wand away as the ink and glass were cleared away. Running her fingers through her hair, sighing once more as she left her office, determined to make it to her room without any sort of disaster happening during that time. Then straight to bed and hopefully, with a far clearer head than she felt she'd had this past few days, handle everything that was bound to happen.

“Rory it’s Grace, open up!”

She could feel herself relax as she heard her friend's voice from around the corner. How Grace's presence had this effect on her, despite the problems with...it, she didn't want to think about know but appreciated it regardless. Slowing to a stop, she leaned against the wall, allowing the other woman to knock a few more ( ... )

Grace had been expecting a bit of resistance on Rory's part to going out for the evening. But she wasn't going to let that stop her, she would get her to come along somehow.

"Yes I want you to come with me down to the Three Broomstick" Grace put on her best puppy dog pout "you've been so busy lately with all that's going on and I think you need a bit of a break."

Grace moved closer to the other woman and took her hand "don't you want to go with me?"

Grace was pouting.

She definitely didn't expect that.

Feeling herself blush, Rory managed several "Aaah"s, "Eeeer"s and "Um"s as she desperately attempted to come out with some sort of response. It was true that she had been busy thanks to the actions of some of the houses (and wasn't Gryffindor suppose to be docked yet another handful of points or something?) as well as other things. But would going to the pub even be a good idea? She might not teach but she couldn't exactly be seen in teh morning with a obvious hangover. Looking at her hand in Grace's, she squeezed it gently. "Honeydukes will still be open...won't it?"

She was running low on blood lollipops, having handed them out to all staff members who entered her office, whether they liked them or not.

Grace pulled Rory along with her as they made their way down nearly empty Hogsmeade streets. They were going to stop at Honeydukes first so Rory could pick up some treats and then they would be off to the Three Broomsticks for a late supper and maybe some drinks. Whatever helped Rory to relax Grace would make sure they did.

The weather was growing colder by the day and Grace pulled Rory close, snuggling together slightly so as to keep them both warm.

"Here we go Honeydukes" and Grace pulled Rory in to the warm candy shop with her.
