"Finally. Been waitin' ages," another voice floated up from by the fire place as Erin reached the bottom of the staircase. He stood with a groan, back popping as he moved away from the warmth of the fire.

"Put 'em eejits up there asleep 'n hour ago. Damn girls wit yer bedtime gossip." He moved closer with a grin, wand out. "Ye ready?"

When he got an affirmative nod he waved his wand, incantation for the Invisibility charm muttered under his breath. "Comeon, let's go."

Erin snickered, "These girls are smarter than you realize... They don't get their late night gossip, they'll know something happened and make it even harder to leave. Anyways, its better i do listen, so i know whats going on and know how much whiskey these girls will need."

Once the spell was cast, she stuck close to her brother, allowing him lead the way out of the common room to the Grand Staircase. The portraits were all asleep, leaving them to be, as it seemed, the only ones awake. "Come on," She nudged Conner, as a stair case moved over to them.

"Ye lasses 'r crazy..." None the less he lead the way, slipping out from behind the portrait of the fat lady and towards the stairs. Conner needed no further prompting and made his way as quickly and quietly down the stairs as he could, just remembering to jump the trick steps along the way as he made sure Erin followed.

"Careful," he reminded as they came to the landing for the 6th floor, quickly moving down to the 5th. The third floor and it's secret passage were still a bit of a way off.

"Quite so," Erin snickered. She had no problem remembering the trick stairs, it was jumping a few of them with such shorter legs than her brother that make it a bit difficult. Just before she reached the landing, there was another few steps to jump. Erin would have made it, but the staircase began to move again, catching her ankle. She stumbled forward, pushing into her brother as she uttered a muffled squeak.
"Y-yeah," she muttered... Damn steps...
She checked over her shoulder at the paintings. They all slept on, for now.
