Awww, that's no fun, Eru. D': binilao_aru August 3 2010, 23:47:27 UTC
"It's been a while," Yao replied, sipping his own cup as he idly observed the dreary scenery outside. What was once a light, sun shower drastically turned for the worse as the downpour outside threatened to keep them inside for much longer than necessary. Not that he was complaining though; the past week had been a crazy mix of phone calls and to spend the moment now with Dewi was more than enough to make his worries disappear...

Or at least most of them.

"I hope that everything is alright. Your last journal was... odd."

Yao couldn't decide on whether Dewi's keyboard was malfunctioning or if he was actually typing in another language.

The only reason Lucy had bothered to venture out today was because of the rain. In all honesty, she loved it almost as much as the sea- anything with water really was enough to get her out of the house and walking down towards the local coffee shop. The rain had a cold chill to it, like it always did on the coast, brought in from winds far away from where they were now, and she actually had put on her coat, a rare set of pants adorning her legs and keeping most of the chill out ( ... )

"O-odd, yes..." he agreed with a coffee-warmed finger now shyly scratching his chin. "It's was probably something wrong with my keyboard. It's usually what someone thinks, however, when I write in Welsh. To an outsider, it just looks odd."

The shop bell rang again, but he paid no mind to it. After another swig of hot coffee, he suddenly felt something rain down upon him.

His first instinct was to consider the wet soaking into his clothes to be a hole in the coffee cup - perhaps there was a leak in the roof - but no, it was a woman. And not just any woman, but-

"L-Lucy-Marie?!"

The next few seconds were a blur as Yao saw nothing but coffee flying in the air and Dewi getting soaked as someone seemed to fall into his lap.

"Are you both okay!?" Quickly, he left his seat and checked on the Welsh's condition, seeing that he was alright save for a shocked expression and being doused with luke-warm coffee. "Do you know her?" he asked as he knelt down to check on her condition next. Yao didn't wait for an answer as he made sure the woman wasn't burned in any way or injured. "Um, Lucy, are you alright?"

Lucy tried to get up the nerve to speak, move, or do something that would get her out of her professor's lap and away from this man that had to be his boyfriend. She managed to sit up, trembling slightly (and not from the chill outside), and turning a bright shade of red. "O-Oh... Dieu- I..." she started, only managing to start babbling incoherantly in Creole, murmuring apology after apology.

"I'm sorry- I'm sorry-" Luce said quickly as well, trying to sit up, finding the front of her shirt to be warmer- a brown coffee stain down the front of it. "L-Let me- get you... a new coffee-" she stammered.
