[ History ] :
Just as a pointer, Deadpool has shown up in a variety of comics, met other heroes and villains such as Captain America, Spiderman, Thor, Loki, the X-Men, The Hulk, and lots of others.

here and here.

[ Personality ] :
Overall, Wade has three personalities due to his mental instability. The two of them converse inside his head, often followed up by Wade’s input on the situation or plan. The Weapon X Program tried to halt his cancer cells trying reuse Wolverine’s regenerative powers to create another mutant that had similar strengths and weaknesses, and it worked, but after Wade was rejected from the Weapon X Program because he killed a teammate, he was sent to Hospice, where Ajax, a psychotic assistant of Doctor Killebrew, who continuously tested Wade in the deadpool with a strange intention to help cure Wade of his cancer, which was killing him. Little did Wade know, others were placing bets on those who went into the deadpool and how long they would live. Doctor Killebrew, along with Ajax, were tormenting Wade with horrible experiments that sent Wade into a rage; he didn’t know how much longer he could deal with the torture.

Wade thought he was ready to die, but his ability to keep his emotional strength earned him respect from fellow patients, and he began to see Death, who took a liking to him. Though odd, the two of them formed a relationship. With Wade’s determination and taunting behavior towards Ajax, Ajax ripped out Wade’s heart and left him to die. Wade wasn’t going to take death for an answer, though; his thirst for vengeance jump started his healing factor, but did not heal his scars. He attacked Ajax and left him for dead in return, escaping Hospice and taking up the name Deadpool. With dead brain cells being rejuvenated at a super accelerated rate because of the healing factor, it is the cause of his psychosis and mental instability.

There are a few glimpses of Wade’s actual face because of the regeneration factor and how extremely scarred his whole body is. He becomes self-conscious about his body or his face when he’s around girls, but never when he’s just by himself. This is shown when Dr. Betty enters his home unannounced and Wade overreacts, covering his face with his robe and yelling, “Where’s my face?”. Usually, Wade shows himself as cocky and sarcastic, playing people even in fights. The way he fights is in a joking matter most of the time and with confidence. He knows he can’t die, no matter what. With his two other personalities, each one having the uncanny ability to create unpredictable fight movements, his moves are rendered useless when someone is trying to copy his style. He proves to be skillful with guns and Japanese swords, those being the weapons of his choice.

When he needs to fight seriously, he does so with precise movements and the cocky attitude is gone, replaced with seriousness and barely any talking, where usually, he just never shuts up. He’s known for having something to say about everything, even the smallest of things. His dry humor and general aloof attitude lets him say things without being embarrassed. There’s an example, when he’s talking to Doctor Betty, who is staring at him, and he replies with, “What? Do I have a boogie hanging out?”. That being said, he also tends to point out the obvious.

Because Wade isn’t serious about most things, he tends to stray away from serious conversation and he sticks to getting straight to the point. He isn’t one for emotion, which is one of the reasons why relationships with women tend to end quickly. The personalities also seem to get in the way, often arguing about how much a girl wants them or how much they don’t, interrupting Wade’s own actions or thoughts. Most of the time, they go with the flow; they want just as many girls as Wade does.

Not only does he never shut up with a cocky attitude, he is as greedy as it can get. He will milk as much money as he can get for a reward for completing a mission. Those who hire him usually don’t know what they’re in for, but the missions are so important and difficult that not even they can carry them out, therefore hiring Wade seems to be the only resolution.

Wade also tends to break the fourth wall, even with himself. He brings up issues that he’s been in or will be in and he brings up movies from different times, some of them being very recent. He relates certain actions to movies he’s seen or hasn’t seen. If he hasn’t seen the movie, the voices often interrupt and groan about how none of them know anything about what he’s talking about, which isn’t new, because most of the time, Wade doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

He’s very good with coming up with plans, despite not knowing what he’s doing half the time (mind you, half the time). Wade is very smart even if he doesn’t act like it, even though he’s a high school drop out. He learns quickly, along with his two other personalities. Because of this, he can make it up as he goes along, adapting to whatever he has to deal with in a mission. It doesn’t take him very long to come up with a plan, sometimes a few seconds to a minute, but it doesn’t guarantee that it will work, even though most of the time it does out of pure luck.

[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Strengths:
→ Deadpool is extremely good at hand-to-hand combat and is skilled in multiple unarmed techniques such as martial arts, along with being a master at assassination techniques. He is also an excellent marksman and skilled with bladed weapons, which he can deflect bullets with. He is fluent in German, Japanese and Spanish along with other languages.

→ He has a superhuman healing factor, which lets him regenerate any damaged organ on his body. The ability is derived from none other than Wolverine, who possesses the same power as well. Though, the ability is mentally driven instead of automatic like it is for Wolverine. He can regrow limbs, unless his head has been removed. If he is decapitated, his head has to be reattached to his body in order for the healing process to begin. The time in which the healing takes varies depending on the wound, but he often says that 20 minutes will do. Despite being able to heal, the scars from cancer are still covering his entire body. The healing factor allows him to be immune to poisons, drugs, disease and an extended lifespan. He does, however, react to certain drugs such as tranquilizer, and can be tranquilized if he is exposed to a large dosage. Alcohol being a kind of poison, he doesn’t get drunk easily, but don’t mistake that for can’t. If he drinks enough, he can become intoxicated, but only for a short amount of time.

→ He doesn’t get tired! That’s right, folks! The regeneration actually enhances other parts of his body besides just healing wounds. His musculature generates less fatigue toxins than the ordinary human being, which gives him superhuman levels of stamina in everything.

→ His strength, agility and reflexes have also been enhanced due to his ability, reaching levels that are far, far beyond natural limits of a human body, which is why his reaction time is superior to everyone else’s.

→ His brain cells are being rejuvenated at a super accelerated rate, making him invulnerable to psychic and telepathic powers, the altered brain cells quickly regenerating to their original state.

→ He has a teleportation device on his belt, which he uses to escape from danger. Most of the time. Other times, not so much. Other times he kind of … just gets teleported into danger. He also withholds a holographic image inducer that he can use to disguise his true appearance.

Weaknesses:

→ His psychosis and dissociative identity disorder is a handicap, and the healing factor is to blame. Though, it is also one of his greatest attributes, working with and against him at the same time. It makes him an extremely unpredictable opponent.

→ The healing factor also created a rapid acceleration of the cancerous tumors that he was suffering from which caused them to spread along his body as soon as his powers were activated. The healing factor super charged the cancer that resulted in massive scar tissue all over his body, causing a disfigured appearance.

→ He can die if someone chops off his head and keeps the head away from his body.

[ Other Important Facts ] :
He’s some kind of crazy.

[ Sample ] :
[When Deadpool woke up, he was covered in water and a few, how we say, flesh wounds through his suit. Or deep, gaping, bloody gashes across his chest, whichever you prefer. Still, he stands up without a care in the world, eying his surroundings.]

This is not the dimension I was in.

[We were in, you idiot. Where the fuck are we?]

Waterworld. End story. Look, fishies. That is so cool. Man, did they upgrade the place? Those commercials never lived up to their full potential.

[We’ve never been to Waterworld. Duh. He said commericals, didn’t he?]

Looks like some whacky dimension decided to sneak up on us.

[You think?]

Whoa, I need to take a piss.

[Some of the locals are staring at Deadpool with concern, while others hurry past him because yes, he is talking to himself. He doesn’t mind. He may be dripping in blood and water, but that doesn’t really matter. He just needs to pee. As long as he gets that taken care of, he’ll worry about the bigger things later. So, he wanders over to a fountain to answer the call of nature. He would have found a bathroom, buuuut... ]

[ Questions? Comments? Concerns? ] : None! :D
