so er..Kevin Maguire points out that Stewart Wood. Ed Mili's right hand man, the new Mandelson, is actually a very kindly and soft academic lecturer, faithful friend of Ed Mili for ever. Who has just been enobled, makign him "Lord Wood".
Naturally, his students took the piss, claiming it Ed had given him a 'porn-star name'
I think you know where this prompt is heading...

Oh dear. XD

And news just hit Ed has found his Alastair Campbell - Tom Baldwin, apparently friends with AC and former Times journo, with an alleged pro-Labour bias and I am currently trawling through a pdf book by Lord Ashcroft which alleges the man also had a cocaine addiction and is kleptomaniac. By all means not an objective account (hence why I'm roffling over here) but seriously, wtf. NuGen Labour is going to be some party.

OMFG: "One political journalist who knew both men [AC & Baldwin] well described Baldwin as 'fawning' and his demeanour 'homoerotic' when the two are together." (Ho ho ho at Tory peer using gay as an insult but ...still. Damn.)

Umm tl;dr seconding prompt plz.

OMG OMG OMG! Ed has a Mandelson and a Campbell! OMG! Where d'you get the news! **dies of excitement** and yes, Labour's make-up since Atlee has been insane.. And wow at Ashcroft's account - I always thoguht he was just a sleazy donor, but his polls are insightful, if biased, and he really does write some pretty good ConHome articles..

Turns out Baldwin is unconfirmed at this point - originally heard it on twitter through Mehdi Hasan of NS. Graud liveblog says: There are also reports that Bob Roberts, political editor of the Daily Mirror, will be taken on by Miliband as a spin doctor.

Stop teasing us, Ed, tell us already so we can fic it.

Yeah - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-1254560/Brown-bully-When-Prime-Minister-treat-people-matters.html

Gordo being mean, EMil and Wood finding solace in each other... Etc, etc, etc. So much potential!

Yah, but he was taken out of context - it was a private remark in the 'oh i hate my boss/work i'm bitching about him/it after work' style, and some hack got hold of it...he turns up in MiliBand of Brothers as an old uni friend and campaigner..
