Cross-Stitch TARDIS

Jul 18, 2010 16:00

I absolutely want to knit this amazing piece: www.entropyhouse.com/penwiper/who/knittardis.html but I don't have the yarn (although hopefully I'll get it soon!)

I do, however, have the embroidery floss. Since knitting charts are less square than cross-stitch charts, I decided to try and recreate this pattern but with the right proportions for cross-stitching (I hope the designer doesn't mind!)

Since the pictures are so huge, I'm just going to put the links here. Since I haven't tried this pattern myself yet, please let me know if you come across any problems. Also, I recommend using plastic canvas to make a nice solid TARDIS, although you could also use cloth to make a stuffie.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I got a bit lazy with the filling in of the squares on the graph, so if it's actually white and not grey, then assume it's royal blue.
