Agreed on both the DW ships.

In the very early stages of their travels I was far more Doctor/Amy, I think mostly because I took a while to warm up to Rory. In the end though, Rory and Amy work together in a way that she and the Doctor never could.

And River/Doctor is plausible in a way none of the recent companions is (except maybe Jack, though that's a little crack-y) because she's his equal in so many ways. Also, Alex Kingston and Peter Capaldi make a beautiful couple :D

Yeah, I get that! And I think it's kind of nice actually, that for a lot of the audience we were convinced along with Amy that Rory was the man for her.

YEP EXACTLY. This is a huge huge reason that River and the Master are the only characters I ship with the Doctor. Aside from the TARDIS of course, but then the TARDIS and River have a special connection of their own :)

PONDS! I WOULD RIP THE WORLD APART FOR AMY/RORY. It is.... ohhhhhhh, I ship that so fucking much. I am a ridiculous multi-shipper in HP-land and don't really have any specific ones there; and actually, in most fandoms, even if I have a preferred pairing, I've regularly written people with others. But Amy/Rory. Oh. I would utterly go down with that ship.

*nodnod* Like, Amy/Rory/Eleven is very much my sort of ship, and then I am overwhelmed by BUT NO MY OTPs!!!!
