I definitely second the rec for Prince To Thieves.. Such a chilling tale! It really does hit you where it hurts on a deep level, but the writing is compelling and you just have to keep reading!

Oh, absolutely. It's one of the best fics I've read this year and would be memorable even if it weren't THE MOST UPSETTING THING EVER. (I told son_of_darkness and melusinahp about this fic in a cafe and Mel asked if I was okay because I was so flappy-hands about its utter upsettingness.)
