Ooooh. Very nice. There's so much creepy potential in the Dutchman, and AWE does give that ending a wonderful poignant twist.

Oh wow, that's awesome. I love the creepy creepy mood and the blood thing is fascinating.

Thanks! I was rather fond of that line myself, actually. That blood prompt suggested all kinds of things to me--I was glad I actually got one fic in on time, but this one kept nagging until I finished it too.

So, so very good. I have chills. I love the ship soaking up the blood. As the others have said, creepy, but so perfect.

Yay! I wish the Disney writers had stuck to creepy and avoided gross altogether, but they did pretty well with most of the Dutchman scenes.

I really did love this idea that Will's being the only fully living being would draw all kinds of attention, like Frodo with the Ring.

I was actually rather nervous about posting this one without sending it by you first, but I'd been sitting on it so long I just needed to get it out of my system. Glad you approve!

Oh, very nicely done. I too like the idea that Dutchman chose his new captain, that he wanted a say in things. Just lovely.

Thanks! It seems to me if the Pearl can be credited with a consciousness in so many stories, the Dutchman ought to as well--even if it has been corrupted.
