Glad you're still around, even though you've been feeling rather "meh". I know the feeling, especially when it comes to work. The number of...unfriendly...comments are starting to outweigh the friendly ones and it's hard not to let that get you down. It's not like us lowly employees have any control over what our bosses do *eyeroll*
Yay for training for your race! I think it's an achievement even if you've only done some training. I started training for an event once; I didn't last two days and ended up never entering the event at all.
Think of it as something that's good for you both physically and mentally, and I'm sure you'll finish within the hour. Even if you don't, you can at the very least be proud that you participated! Really, that's more than a lot of other people have ever done ;o)

I told myself that if I finished in under an hour I could buy something from the Flashpoint merchandise website, but I didn't. So Thanksgiving Day race... under an hour. If only they let you order the models... ;)

Flashpoint's Broken Peace! I have to say that I liked it a lot better than I thought I would. I'm one of those people who isn't into Ed angst and with TPTB touting this season as basically being all about Ed and his PTSD, I wasn't actually really looking forward to it. I like Ed but he's my least favourite ( ... )

Hahahaha, the Sam/Jack ship was a very big ship in the fandom. But they also had a very big anti-ship contingent too, which was mostly Jack/Daniel shippers. Those were the two big ships that caused most of the ship wars. (Sam/Daniel fans were a small group but occasionally got their licks in.)
One of the things I always liked about Stargate, besides the whole 'team vs the universe' vibe, was the humor of it. Sg-1, imo, starts dropping off a bit after season 4, stays good through season 7, but then seasons 8 and 9 are pretty dreadful for me. HOWEVER, season 10 was bouncing back big time and I was really, really enjoying things again, only to have it cancelled. Too little too late I guess! Oh well. It had a great run. You can't ask for much more than 10 years, you know?

10 years is GREAT! Not every show is a L&O or SVU, they're lucky to get to 6 or 7.
