baby goats!

rainy season is apparently also baby goat season in lagos.  where there used to be 3 or 4 very pregnant adult goats wandering around my street (and most streets) there are now 10 or 12 tiny fuzzy little baby goats following their mothers around and occasionally bleating.  say it with me: aaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwww

yes, those are them. i'm not sure about the snorgling, though it is mighty tempting. these aren't really pets -- they just live everywhere. they do seem to be used to people, but i never see people (other than the butchers) touching them. plus, they're insanely dirty. but it is awfully hard not to go play with them.

Tiny animals are so cute. We had some week old twin moose frolicking in the yard across the street the other day. We could actually watch them fight and watch one play tricks on his mom. He all of a sudden galloped (if moose can do that) around a house and into the woods behind it and his mom walked slowly over to the corner to investigate. She was looking and didn't see him, and then we saw him coming back around the other side of the house and up behind her and what I've decided is his sister. It was really cute.

Just thought I'd share :) Happy to hear you're happy and all that. Oh and we've picked a wedding date. It's going to be July 12th. Will you be in town?
