baby goats!
rainy season is apparently also baby goat season in lagos. where there used to be 3 or 4 very pregnant adult goats wandering around my street (and most streets) there are now 10 or 12 tiny fuzzy little baby goats following their mothers around and occasionally bleating. say it with me: aaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwww.
seriously, they're everywhere. baby goats, as far as the eye can see. and, since nigerian goats are a dwarf breed anyway, the babies are about the size of a small cat. and fuzzy. and adorable. and they dart around between your feet while you're walking. if my camera was working, you'd be getting endless pictures of tiny little baby goats.
though we have also discovered that male goats, even the babies, have enormous testicles. yup.
