Note Christmassy userpic: it is not Twelfth Night yet! All those people who take down their festive avatars on Boxing Day are weird. So there. =:P

Regarding snow, the GFS model keeps on tantalising us, but it's generally in the fairyland of > 10 days away, and tends to have disappeared by the next run.
Indeed. I suppose that's better than when it's modelled 48 hours out and still doesn't happen, and today was a nice winter's day (at least here). But still... I'm not saying I want December 2010 every year, but a couple of snowy days doesn't seem too much to ask even for the Midlands. (I originally typed "Mildlands" there. Freudian slip!)
You can thank Entei-rah for helping Bits'n'Bob-stones stay alive. I have it saved offline, so it'll always be available in some form, but this is much more satisfactory than having to email it to people.
I think you're right that there may be too much of a cultural divide for anyone over here to truly make sense of the Trump phenomenon. And that goes even for the Faragistes, though they're obviously less removed from that mindset (and indeed from yours!) than I am. I get "America first" in general, but the details start getting strange fast from a British POV. Plus Brexit is where it's at if you're a journalist over here in any case.
And fair point on "the gun thing" -- there was an article on the BBC News site before Christmas called "Why US liberals are now buying guns too", and from this side of the Atlantic that's probably even more alien than alt-righters doing it. (It's one issue on which UK public opinion still seems pretty stable.) I doubt it's going to change on either side of the Atlantic.

*Hugs back* You're also very welcome! And no worries, as always I'll be very happy to read the email whenever you have time to finish it. =:)
