I dabbled in eHarmony after a bad break-up. I was hurting and shy and didn't know how to go about testing the waters again. eHarmony was the wrong way to go about it.
You know the commercials about trying to find your mate blah blah blah. It is *very* much focused on and driven towards finding a match to get married. It didn't seem fun and light at all. I didn't try any of the other sites so I don't know if they are different (though I have to imagine they are based on how I hear people talking about them), but that might be an addendum line for that site.

Yes, I think that my friends that are in the "serious relationship" mode are drawn towards eHarm. I wish them luck, I'm pretty sure there's someone out there for them.
Ah, Asian noodles. I could really go for some right now actually, because it's cold and blustery out right now and I'm peckish...
What's it mean that this post has moved from here to loganlo.com since you originally posted it? Just want to build traffic over there? :-)
I've used OKCupid, and it was responsible for my last "relationship," if you could call it that. It didn't last. I suppose a sour taste from that experience has kept me from really taking it seriously again since, though perhaps I should take another look. Certainly better than the Speed Dating thing I was asked to participate in tonight. Or is it?
Ha - kinda. The entry was already posted elsewhere and from what I understand, Google doesn't like the exact same thing posted in multiple places so I figured I'd just put it on the other site. Plus I've got subscribers here but not there so I didn't want to just put up something that was so radically different from what I normally write.
I'm thinking of publishing how I put a 1TB HD into my macbook pro next...
I think that you should try OK Cupid again; one bad experience in a bar doesn't mean you swear of bars, does it? It certainly wouldn't hurt to just add another potential meeting ground to your dating repertoire, IMHO.
