I enjoyed this entry very much! Now do mine!

Also, as much as I think you are on the bad crack for Jayne/Kaylee, clearly you should stick with it because I am afraid I would be forced to disown you if there was any Jayne/River talk. *threatens*

I would tell you to be patient but you are the gryffindor-aries so that would be kind of silly wouldn't it.

There will be no Jayne/River talk as far as I can see guy. I can tell because I do not click on Jayne/River stories ever. Pehaps my Kaylee/jayne shipping can be forgiven like poodle's Harry/Hermione?

Oh god. I hate to self-pimp, but since you mentioned your love of Arthurian legend incest, it's only fair to direct you to Le Morte. I wrote it for a challenge at darkones last summer, and it's a meshing of a HP AU with Arthurian legend. The primary pairing is Sirius/Bellatrix.

Heh.

Self-pimping is totally fine when it's a topic the person actually wants to read. I will definitely check it out. Also this totally reminds me that I should have Arthurian Legend/Harry Potter Crossovers listed as an interest... because they totally work (now wants to write fic in which Salazar Slytherin is Mordred)

From the first episode, Xander wants to serve as a traditional male, to rescue and protect, but the women of this show don't really need protection, and even if they did he's ill equipped to give it. So the show really poses the question, What then?

Xander irritates me quite often. I never understand when I read some unofficial Buffy book saying that he has no problem with strong women. He is turned on by slayers, yes. But to say he doesn't have a problem with not getting to be the macho man is reaching. Teacher's Pet has his fantasy of coming to Buffy's rescue while she swoons

Indeed... Xander is an intersting character study of certain issues but by virtue of that very fact he is not the ideal feminist male by any means. He is both intregued by women's power and threatened by it. He's not a Vampire with superhuman strength to match up to the women on the show nad it bothers him. It makes sense that it bothers him but let's not sugar coat it and pretend it doesn't.
