I'll be honest; I thought the season wasn't as strong as last season. It was still fun to watch, though. I like that the show has a more comedic element than Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Sure, they crack jokes on AoS, but they never make me laugh really hard

Since we seemed to be covering all the L.A. villains at once, I was almost hoping for some reference to "the Pride". Then again, I keep hoping for some mention of Bishop Publishing in the modern stories and that never happens either.
I really missed Angie though. It felt like Marvel was like...you want Peggy/Angie so much? Well, we'll take Angie away except for a dream sequence, ha!
I think the spin-off could be good IF it's set up like Avengers Spotlight/Solo Avengers where Bobbi and Hunter interact with difference Marvel heroes each week. Think of it like an experiment about which characters are popular enough in their episode that they deserve more...like Marvel making one shots for Phil and Peggy before giving them their own shows.

Peggy and Angie do exchange a significant look in the dream sequence. At least, that's how it looked to me. But yeah, the lack of Angie was not cool. I hope it was just a case of the actress having a scheduling conflict.

I like the idea of showcasing other Marvel characters who normally wouldn't get any attention. From what I've read about the spin-off - Bobbi and Hunter are on the run (for some reason) and they agree to help out a mysterious benefactor with various cases in exchange for safety and security - that could potentially happen. I don't know. Can Bobbi and Hunter carry the weight of an entire show on their own? We'll see.

And they did elude to the mask. I remember seeing a couple of shots of an award Whitney had, with the two comedy and tragedy masks.
