This is a more upbeat entry than the previous one. Sure to be hardly any mention of death at all in this one.

Casting about for what I will do next with my life (besides rock out with my super cool husband), I came across this camouflage/ paramedical makeup school in Washington, D.C. When I left cosmetology school I was actually interested in ( Read more... )

Yes, you can imagine that for almost everything I just have to ignore spellcheck.

I love this. I love that you are doing this. And it's really not therapy, in a sense it's gonna be tutoring or training that you'll be providing. I mean you are gonna help them create looks that works for them and then show them how to duplicate it, how remarkable is that? And if you think about it like that its more about the problem and the solution and less about investing in them, and less about them having someone have to invest in them. I love this and think you'd be great at it.

Now that I got that funding, I'm gonna be in Washington for at least a coupla months, so you HAVE to make sure that you still have time off for coffee and fun hijinks!

Tutoring is a good way of looking at this! I like to think I'd be good at, but I guess I won't know til I try, now will I? I knew you'd have input on this. :)

When do you think you'd be in the area? If I do this school thing, I won't be enrolling right away. I'd like to get a sense of the place first, since Mark will be making enough to support both of us (and my cost of upkeep isn't too high anyway, it's not like I'm out splurging on Chanel bags and manicures). I'd also like to try and get my art stuff going in a more proactive manner, since I'll have more time to devote to it. This means that for the first bit of time I'm up there I'll definitely be free to grab a coffee or what have you with you. What fun!

I know I have SO not been keeping up on livejournal but this sounds really really cool. Congrats to you. I am fascinated and want to know more about medical makeup...

No worries, you have quite a bit more on your plate to keep you away from LJ than I do, that's for sure!
