momentous decision

Since our return to Canada in August of last year, I have been thinking about retirement, I have 32 years of service and I have done pretty much everything possible and seen a awful lot, gone around the bush several times so to speak. I have decided in light of all the coming changes at work and also in the culture of our work to retire, I cannot ( Read more... )

Talk about starting a new page in your life. (lol, I missed the y when I was typing your and wrote our, How I wish I was retiring. :p)
I so hear you about newer generations being raised with safety helmets. That is sooo true.

A momentous decision indeed, but I'm sure that you will enjoy and make the most of your retirement. You've done the miles, now it is time to put your feet up and enjoy yourself!

You actually have a chance that most people don't, and that is to choose your retirement date. Use it wisely (I'm not really worried about the wise part though...) :)
