Christmas break comes to an end once again

Mike is on his way back to Charlottesville; he left about an hour and a half ago. It gets a little easier for me every time. I feel sad that he's gone again, but I no longer get the hollow, empty feeling I used to get every time he backed down the driveway and drove away ( Read more... )

Being without the dogs is heartbreaking for me, but I concur: the release of pressure-of-responsibility can be a guilty pleasure.

For me, it's not so much relief-from-responsibility as carpet-stays-clean for a few days. Dark red carpet, off-white dog.

LOL! In that case, my equivalent would be relief from the drifts of dog hair that pile up in every nook of the kitchen within a few days of being swept clean.

Mymom went to Albuquerque! Hersister is going to live there and work at secret stuff mymom wouldn't understand even if she knew what it was.

But mymom has to be careful not to write books that might sound like she knows. That's good. She can write more about dogs that way.

I hope Saint gets COOKIES in Charlottesville.

I've met a lot of the kid's friends since I've been here. I'm real sweet around the girls--they dig me.
